Welcome to Filmjitsu, the podcast that wields films like deadly weapons.  The concept of this podcast is simple.  Each episode we take turns assigning the other a shit pile of a movie to review in the next episode.  We mix in our Bottom 5 movies in a category related to the chosen movie, some good movie picks and other hilarity for an all around good time.  Give us a listen.

Origin Story
Mike and John met in the Fall of 2000 up at the beautiful University of Vermont. It was a meeting of pure chance, Mike was randomly assigned to the same dorm John had occupied a year earlier. Bored while waiting for a friend John decided to see who lived in the room he once occupied. Just two doors down from that room was Mike. The two hit it off right away based on their love of movies and football and a lifelong friendship was born.

The boys first venture into a movie project was when they created a student film program called Explorations in Film and Cinema or EFC. Two and a half years of EFC allowed them to surround themselves with other movie geeks and collaborate with friends on some great short films such as Hey Buddy and So You Want to Be an RA? Sadly that experiment came to an end when it was time for the boys to leave UVM.

Several years later, feeling empty from the loss of the Scene Unseen Podcast from their lives and with the recent crushing loss of their beloved Patriots in the playoffs John asked a simple question, “Why don’t we have a movie podcast?” Mike responded “If we did have one I have a great name for it, Filmjitsu!” The discussion continued and a few weeks later the boys were recording their first episode.

And that is the story about how a random meeting in a college dorm has turned into the show you now listen to every week.
