Greetings loyal Filmjitsu listeners. Just wanted to take a second to update you on some things we’ve been working on here at Filmjitsu HQ.
April Fools’ Day
We hope you enjoyed our little goof we pulled for April 1st. No, Mike is not going anywhere. Both Mike and John will continue to bring you episodes of Filmjitsu for a long time to come. We just couldn’t resist playing a prank given we had an episode due on April 1st. We again want to thank Dan from the Bob and Dan Cast for assisting us with this goof and Rider Strong for playing along as well. Also be sure to head over to the Bob and Dan Cast to give a listen to Mike co-hosting with Bob while Dan was here on Filmjitsu. It is not to be missed.
New Schedule
As you have probably heard by now the show has switched to an every other week schedule due to some positive life changes for us both. While this is a bit of a bummer for those of you who love your weekly dose of Filmjitsu insanity we promise that this new schedule will not only improve the quality of the episodes, but also will allow us to engage in some other cool related activities.
New Blog
One of the new activities we will be bringing your way is a Filmjitsu blog. We’ve dubbed this new feature the Commentary Track. It will allow us to cover topics that we don’t get a chance to cover on the show. You’ll see movie reviews, reactions to industry news and events, etc. We will begin posting to the blog during the off weeks so that you can get a dose of Filmjitsu between episodes.
Elizabeth Taylor
We would be remiss if we didn’t take a moment to recognize the great Elizabeth Taylor who recently passed. She was one of the greats in cinema history and clearly a lady way too classy for a show like ours to ever do justice. So Dame Taylor, good morning, and in case we don’t see you, good afternoon, good evening, and good night.
Again we want to thank you for being the best fans a podcast could ever hope for. You are the reason we do this and we truly appreciate you taking the time to listen as well as provide feedback via email and the message line.
Popcorn and Goobers,
Mike & John
