Episode 22 – Showgirls

Episode 22 – Showgirls

Mike dances his way through a review of one of the worst movies of the last 20 years, Showgirls . This is followed up by Bottom Five Dancers, Matinee Deathmatch and Staff Picks. The guys also introduce the new Teen Wolf contest. Plus don’t forget to check out the Bonus Features section for all the extras.

Episode 21 – Godzilla

Episode 21 – Godzilla

The podcast officially reaches drinking age with John’s review of the 1998 Roland Emmerich monster fest Godzilla . Given the shameful tag line for this film of “Size Does Matter” Mike and John tackle Bottom 5 Movie Tag Lines. They also read some of the listener submitted tag lines, play Matinee Deathmatch and recommend some fun Staff Picks.

This episode also features another Love Song From Rider Strong. This time around Rider proves he is clairvoyant by picking a fantastic actor who just days after recording this segment was given the main role in an upcoming blockbuster. Clearly Rider is a “scary judge of talent.”

Episode 20 – Vanity Fair

Episode 20 – Vanity Fair

John throws down the period piece gauntlet and forces Mike to take on Mira Nair’s adaptation of William Makepeace Thackeray’s Vanity Fair starring Reese Witherspoon. What other category would do for this one than Bottom Five Gold Diggers? Of course there is Matinee Deathmatch and some great Staff Picks for summer viewing. The outtake at the end of this episode is particularly funny as well.

This episode features music by Nick Phaneuf and Russ Graham. Check them out after the Staff Picks section.

Episode 19 – Jury Duty

Episode 19 – Jury Duty

Happy Independence Day! In celebration of our Nation’s Birthday Mike assigned John the Pauly Shore travesty Jury Duty . In honor of the holiday they then present their picks for Bottom Five Movie Presidents. This is rounded out as always by Matinee Deathmatch, Listener Feedback and Staff Picks. And don’t forget to check out the Bonus Features section for all the extra goodies.

    • @NotAnnieButAnne surprisingly it's a really heavy character drama. Not the dumb action/monster flick the trailer is selling. Recommended.
    • Mike saw The Grey this week. Anyone out there in Filmjitsu Land check it out yet? What'd you think?
